The last two days before a second-round interview are for narrowing, not cramming. Use this checklist to protect your composure.
Cramming new frameworks forty-eight hours before a second round usually raises anxiety without improving answers. Treat the window as a narrowing exercise.
Forty-eight hours out
- Re-read the job description once, highlighting verbs that match your three anchor stories.
- Confirm logistics: tool link, building entrance, names on the invite.
- Sleep timing matters more than one extra mock after midnight.
Twenty-four hours out
- Speak each anchor story once out loud — not five times.
- Write two clarifying questions you genuinely want answered about the team.
- Decide what you will wear and set it aside so morning decisions stay small.
Morning of
- Eat something ordinary; skip the unfamiliar stimulant experiment.
- Arrive early enough to settle, not early enough to spiral in a lobby.
- Open with your prepared first sentence, then listen longer than you speak in the first ten minutes.
